Tuesday untutored Group
Experienced carvers can join this group to carve in company with minimal supervision. Skelton Workshops tools can be used, and should be correctly cleaned and replaced, during the sessions.
The fee is £18 for 3 hours 10:00 to 13:00 book for one session at a time or in groups.
Hot drinks and snacks are available.
This is an excellent space for sharing ideas and skills with a diverse group of carvers.

Materials For Sculpture:
Please bring any drawings, maquettes, idea or sketches, sketch book and pencils (hard and soft). Hat, goggles and cotton gloves are useful too. Please wear stout shoes.

Materials For Lettercutting:
Sketch books, pencils (hard and soft), ruler and rubber. Also bring your ideas! Please wear stout shoes.

Stone
Stone is sold by the kilo and ranges in price from £3-5.50 per kilo. Softer stone such as Bath and Serpentine are used for sculpture and suitable limestones or slate for lettercutting.
​
A wide range of hand tools are available for students' use.
​
Lunch
There are several pubs within a three mile radius all serving meals or bring a packed lunch.
​
Accommodation is available in nearby guest houses.
