Pottery classes – with Jane Skelton

Adult Pottery Classes

Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-12 noon

£20 per session (payable in advance, half termly), which includes clay, firing and basic glazes.

Adult evening classes - by arrangement

Children's Pottery Classes

Fridays 3.45-4.45 pm

Saturdays 9.30-10.30 and 11am-12 noon

£8 per session (payable half termly in advance).

Pottery parties

 

Parties can be held for children (from four years and up) and adults up to a maximum of 12 people.

Children have an opportunity to make models, decorate them using coloured slips and to try out the potter's wheel. The emphasis is on creative fun and children are free to explore their own course as well as use the wealth of material available to them at the workshop.

Work is fired by Jane Skelton to be collected later.

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.

Party tea is not included but guests are free to bring a cake and drinks for the end of the party.

Costs

(includes all materials and firing)

One hour £80 (no more than 5 children)

One and a half hours £100 (no more than 8 children)

Two hours £140 (no more than 12 children)

Larger parties on application.

I can also travel to your home if there is a suitable place to use. Prices for this begin at an extra £25 and will vary according to distance. Groups can be larger.

Large groups will need two hours if everyone is to have an opportunity to use the wheel.
